But.. what do I wear?

One of the great things about graduation and senior photoshoots is that the level of preparation can be entirely up to you. To aid in your planning process, I'm sharing my top outfit tips to make sure your photos come out the best they can. For some quick ideas, check out my Pinterest board!

Preparation

Choose your outfits in advance and make sure they are clean and pressed (wrinkled clothing will show up in your photos!). If you prefer bra straps to be out of pictures, make sure to hide them before the session. Remember, with 1 hour shoots you can bring 1-2 outfits. You can also bring a few extra options in case something doesn't work out- but I do recommend bringing a friend along to help carry all the goods!

Create the Photos You Want!

Your outfit can showcase your personality and create the vibe of photos! If you are looking for bold, creative photos, go with a pop of color or statement clothing (I do recommend avoiding small prints, such as polka dots). If you want to include your roots, bring a cultural outfit along. If you want to keep it classic, go with neutral colors, such as a white dress. If you are furthering your education, consider bringing a second outfit of school gear. And don’t forget a pair of comfy shoes! We will be walking quite a bit on campus. Hair and Makeup

Professional hair and makeup is not necessary for those who don't want to spend a fortune. However, I do recommend preparing your hair for fly-aways and doing anything to make you feel your best self in front of the camera. I also recommend using makeup for an even skin tone, especially if you have an unwanted bruise or tan darker on your body (like me- I swear my face is always 3 shades lighter) since this can be exacerbated by photos. If you want your makeup to pop, then I recommend whatever is needed to show up well on camera!

Some Other Tips

Whatever you choose to wear, your most confident self will create the best photos. I promise this- you can literally see confidence in photos and it can change the vibe of your gallery. Show up with whatever makes you happiest!
